Under Twelve Schoolboys

Tombrack United  2  Fethard Rangers  2

Our Under Twelve boys produced a hard working performance against a decent Fethard team to earn a point in Ballyboy on Saturday. Cathal Byrne and Danny Dreelan played very well as the lads ground out a draw with Stephen O Toole scoring both goals

Under Fourteen and Under Sixteen Schoolboys

Tombrack United v New Ross Town

Both these sides were due to play New Ross Town but disappointingly neither game went ahead as Town were unable to field a team for either match so points were awarded to Tombrack

Under Sixteen Schoolgirls

All Blacks 2 Tombrack United 6

Our Under Sixteen girls got their season off to a flying start when they travelled to All Blacks for what could have been a tricky encounter but came away with all three points after a 6-2 win. Lucy Kemble scored the opener for Tombrack but All Blacks levelled almost immediately but two goals from Nadine Fortune, one each from Amie Dreelan and Becky Connaughton and a second from Lucy gave Tombrack a well earned three points

FAI Junior Cup Second Round

Bunclody AFC 2 Tombrack United 3

The men's first team booked their place in the Third Round of the FAI Junior Cup when they overcame near neighbours Bunclody in what was a hard fought thrilling encounter. The home side took the lead but Eoin Carton levelled only for Bunclody to retake the lead. James Coleman came on as a sub and made an immediate impact, scoring the equaliser and eventually the winner in a game our lads felt they deserved to win but could have just as easily let slip away. Tombrack United now meet Naas United at home in the Third Round on October 22nd

Wexford Football League Division Four A

St Josephs AFC 4 Tombrack United 4

A late late equaliser deprived our men's second team of a second successive win when St Josephs scored in injury time to snatch a point in a game that Tombrack were well in control but managed to let slip away. Kieran Kenny and Jamie Quinn scored one each with John Kavanagh scoring twice but manager John Brownrigg was disappointed his side were unable to hold on for all three points

Womens Divisional Shield Group D

Tombrack United  13  Wexford Bohs  0

Tombrack women got off to a flying start in the Shield when proving far too strong for Wexford Bohs who were unable to contain the firepower of the home side. Sarah Merrigan and Shannon McGovern scored five each, all Shannon's goals coming in the second half, with Mary Boland scoring twice and Kelli Maguire also getting her name on the scoresheet
