Wexford Football League Premier Division
Bridge Rovers 0 Tombrack United 2
After some good performances in the opening three league games but no points, Tombrack travelled to Castlebridge for what they knew would be a stiff test against fellow promoted side Bridge Rovers. The opening exchanges in the game were even but slowly Tombrack came to grips with the game and just before half time, Kevin Coleman put the lads ahead for a well deserved lead. The home side did make an effort to get back into the game but the Tombrack defence held firm while the midfield were exerting more and more control on the game with Kevin Kenny in exceptional form.
Wexford Schoolboys Under Nine
Our Under Nines made the short journey to Ballycarney and put in some excellent performances in the blitz which was excellently hosted by Newpark. Our youngest team produced some top class performances under the management of stand in coach Willie Maher and the future of the club is very bright as this group of players continue to improve season by season
