Under Eleven Schoolgirls Division One

St Leonards  2  Tombrack United  3

Our Under Eleven girls are top of the league after they came from behind to take all three points away to St Leonards, making it three wins from three games. This was a thrilling game from start to finish with the home team drawing first blood in the first half and when they made it 2-0 early in the second half, it looked like it was not going to be our girls day. Good win for men as Women are beaten

Wexford Football League Premier Division

New Ross Celtic  1  Tombrack United  2

The lads picked up a massive win when they travelled to New Ross Celtic and came away with a vital three points after a 2-1 win. Both sides were in the bottom half of the table before this game so a win for either side was going to be important and it was Celtic who drew first blood when awarded a penalty which they converted for a 1-0 lead.

Wexford Schoolgirls Under Sixteen Premier

Ballindaggin AFC  0  Tombrack United  4

The Under Sixteen girls got back to winning ways when they made the short trip to Ballycarney and overcame Ballindaggin 4-0. The opening twenty minutes were shaky as Ballindaggin dug in and defended well and although Tombrack dominated possession, they were struggling to find the net but as the half panned out, the girls became more precise and eventually broke down the home defence when a Lucy Kemple ball across the box found Shauna McGovern who shot to the roof of the net.

Women open league campaign with a win while B team have point cruelly snatched away

Wexford Women's League Division Two B

Tombrack United  4  New Ross Town  0

The Women opened their Division Two B campaign with a win when they overcame a young New Ross Town side 4-0 in Ballyboy this morning. An early goal from Shannon McGovern had the visitors on the back foot in very breezy conditions and although they made an effort to push forward, they found the home defence difficult to break down. Shannon scored her second goal midway through the half when she bravely clashed with the keeper to touch the ball into the net, taking a heavy knock from the outcoming
